Kanegon is a fictional character from the Japanese tokusatsu (special effects) television series "Ultra Q," which is part of the Ultra Series created by Tsuburaya Productions. Kanegon first appeared in Episode 15 of "Ultra Q," titled "Kanegon's Cocoon," which originally aired in 1966. Kanegon is a Kaiju transformed by Kaneda Kaneo, a boy who is greedy for money, after he was swallowed by a cocoon that makes the sound of money when shaken. Kanegon's head is in the shape of a coin purse, while his body is like a Martian.
